Lake Powell day 4 AND Kollin's Birthday!
It was great to be able to celebrate Kollin's birthday in Lake Powell! For breakfast, my family even gave him a pancake with candles in it and sang Happy Birthday to him.
Unfortunately I missed it. I was in the other room pumping milk for Tanner. pfft
He got a great nap with his kiddo though.

A bunch of us went out on the floaties and soaked up some sun.
Keeping Tanner cool on my damp towel.
Tanner posing with the birthday boy.
I tried to put Tanner down for a nap, but he just wanted to play. It was way too cute to say "no," and not take pictures.

Libby, Russell and cousin Wayne finally made it!
Wayne's diaper got a little swollen with water....
Aunt Libby with Tanner and Wayne.
All the boys on the boat.
All of us did a pirate themed murder mystery!

Lake Powell day 3
The next night was HOT. At probably midnight or 1am I was whining at Kollin to move our stuff outside of the tent since we were not getting any airflow inside. He was too tired to comply. sheesh
We took the rain tarp off of the tent the following day and didn't have that problem again. whew!
Soaking up some love from Grandma Cannon.
Having a ball with Aunt Bippy!

Lake Powell day 2
The first night's sleep wasn't too bad. We went to bed pretty early which was so nice.
However, the 5:30am wake up call wasn't so nice. Just kidding. Everyone was very quiet as they got up and left. I didn't even notice they had gone until they were already back a couple hours later!
Gwen's family is crazy. They go water skiing at 5:30am every day in Powell. I can see why though. It is the best time since the water is like glass.
Hanging out with Aunt Julie.
Getting some breakfast from Aunt Bippy.
Fixing some parts to the boat.
Scott and Ben fell asleep in the dingy. Britta and I just had to snap some pictures and take some video.
Ben had woken up and was trying to row by himself. He wasn't making any progress (he's 3). Then Dad (Scott) woke up and saved them.
And last but not least... Tanner started on solids! We started him with smooshed banana and rice cereal.
He seems to like the rice cereal better than the banana at the moment.
Lake Powell day 1
So last week we went to Lake Powell. So much fun!
I haven't been for 11 years or so, and Kollin had never been. It was exactly what the doctor ordered.
Lots of R&R. And of course water skiing.
I am posting the trip in a few different posts because there are way too many pictures to try to upload in one post. And I'm just that lazy....
We traded Kollin's truck for his brother's since it gets much better gas mileage.
The only issue was trying to find a comfortable way to sleep in the back seat with the car seat boxing me in.
We caravanned with Scott and Britta and made a pit stop at Hollow Mountain in Hanksville.

Such cute babies!
We got to Bullfrog and my dad and Uncle Ken picked us up in the speed boat to take us to the houseboat.
Tanner wasn't exactly excited about the life jacket.

Cousinly Love
I was reading my step-sister's blog today and played a new video she had posted. Apparently Tanner loved it, because he demanded to play it an additional 4 or 5 times.
It was so cute, I had to get a video of it! He loves his cousin! (this is the 4th time watching it)
Also notice how awesome his chest is looking!

The smell of hot dogs, sunscreen and sulfur
For the 4th of July, we went to a Bee's game with my family. The main reason I'm sure was to see the fireworks afterward.
Tanner wasn't too thrilled with the cheering. Scared him pretty good. Poor kid.
He had the perfect bink for the game though!
Aunt Britta and Grandma Cannon with the babes.
It was so much fun!

5 Months Old
There are so many little milestones that have happened this past month. I am starting to wonder where my little baby went, and who this little boy is. People have told me he looks like a miniature 6 year old instead of a teeny babe.
I'm sure it's the hair.
He was starting to get kind of clingy the past few months, but this last month is an entire different ball game. He doesn't like to be put down. He doesn't like Mom or Dad to leave the room. He just doesn't like to be alone. Period.
He has kind of started to hold his own bottle. While we are feeding him, he'll put his hands on the bottle. If they are positioned just right, we can let go of the bottle and he will be feeding himself!
Also, while I am either bottle feeding or nursing him, he likes to look up at me, stick his hand up and place it on my nose, lips or cheek. It's way cute. Not sure if he has done this with Kollin while he's feeding him or not, but it just melts me when he does it to me.
He also got a Bumbo Chair this last month. One of my friends gave it to me for free since her boys don't use it anymore. It was so nice of her, since those things are not cheap! Tanner does pretty well in it so far. He'll sit up and play with his little toys for a while, but then he'll get bored or tired of sitting up and start to fuss til I let him out.
He loves to stand. I will either hold him up while he stands on my belly while I am reclined back or laying down, or he will stand on my feet with his chest leaning on my shins. I haven't gotten any pictures of this yet, but I need to!
He has also been rolling over from his back to his tummy this last month. Sometimes he'll get stuck on his side because he can't figure out how to get his arms out from under him. Also, when he does get all the way to his tummy, one arm will be pinned under him. If it wasn't for that arm, he might be scooting around already, since he kicks his legs as if he was already crawling!
The last thing I can think of that he is doing now is full on laughing. It is so much fun to get him going either by the "where's Tanner" game we play, or tickling his knees, bum, hips and neck. I was also able to get him to do it earlier today in the car by just making funny faces and sounds.
I love you so much Silly Faces!

Old friends and a baby!
I was able to see some dear friends from high school this week since one is visiting from out of state. (I also saw other friends a couple weeks ago, and wish I took pictures of that outing as well, sorry girls) So I decided to do some before and after pictures.
Excuse the picture, my scanner is on the fritz.
